About Chrissie:

I have been a crafter for a long time and seen trends come and go. I have a huge amount of experience that I am dying to share, so feel free to ask anything. Although I have tried loads of crafts including jewellery making and working with clay, I specialise in paper crafting and mixed media art.

As it is no longer a secret, I feel comfortable talking about my mental health. I was diagnosed with depression and severe anxiety 8 years ago when I was 26. I wasn’t a complete shock as the people closest to me noticed a huge shift in my personality.

Craft has helped me through some of the darkest times because when your creating something your mind is concentrating on the project. Also when your finished you have a sense of achievement.

I am not stating in any way that craft in a cure for depression, but it does give you a small break from it. Anyone with depression would consider a small break from depression an achievement in itself.

I can’t wait to start sharing craft ideas and if you need to talk about your anxiety or depression (or both), I can share my experience there as well.
